STAINED GLASS WINDOWS

December 1882 - the Proprietor of the Bellevue asks S.P.G. to accept a stained glass window given by subscribers and placed in the Hotel Chapel. S.P.G. accepts.
-
1891- The stained glass window in the Hotel Chapel was bought by Lady Hunter and placed in the Church.

Special Gifts in the Subscribers List include:
-Stained Glass Window “The Nativity” given by Mrs.Lassetter and Mrs. Bicknell
-Stained Glass Window “The Crucifixion” given by Heathcote Long

12th October 1902 - Dedication of window “Resurrection”

20th June 1976 - Dedication of Rose Window
“Unfortunately, the greater part of the beautiful stained glass windows, now replaced with white glass, were destroyed during an air raid in World War II. The West window represented the nine orders of Angels and was in memory of the architect, whilst the five side windows illustrated the chief Articles of the Apostles’ Creed”
